Disclose to your physician if you're taking any nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems. So, consumption of Nitroglycerin, which includes Nitrostat, Nitrolingual, Nitro-Dur, Nitro-Bid, and others; Isosorbide dinitrate (Dilatrate-SR, Isordil, Sorbitrate); And Isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO, Monoket) needs to be reported.
Nitrates are even present in certain recreational drugs. This includes amyl nitrate or nitrite, popularly referred to as poppers. Mixing Tadalafil with a nitrate medicine may initiate a serious blood pressure reduction. This can cause fainting, stroke, or even a heart attack.
A small percentage of patients have suffered unexpected loss of eyesight after Tadalafil consumption. It's caused by lessened blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye. In case of any of the aforementioned conditions, the use of Tadalafil may not be possible. You may however be prescribed dosage adjustments or special tests throughout treatment.
What should I avoid while taking Tadalafil?
Refrain from consuming high-fat food before taking Viagra. This may cause it to take additional time to become effective.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it may enhance some of the side effects of Tadalafil.
Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may relate with Tadalafil. Talk about use of grapefruit products with your doctor. Do not interfere with the use of grapefruit products in your diet without first discussing with your doctor.
Avoid the use of alprostadil (Caverject, Muse, Edex) or yohimbine (Yocon, Yodoxin, others) to treat impotence, unless your doctor prescribes it.
