What is Propecia?
Reports suggest that almost 80% of men using generic Propecia experienced an improvement and hair loss was reversed to a certain degree. Generic Propecia is a remedy for baldness in men with mild to moderate hair loss on the top of the head and the front of the mid-scalp area. Generic Propecia augments hair growth, improves hair re-growth, and slows down hair loss.
Generic Propecia works only on scalp hair and does not affect hair on any other part of your body. You could start seeing improvement as early as 3 months after you start medication but it could take longer in some men. Remember you will only notice improvement as long as you take propecia. Once you stop new hair growth will stop and hair loss will recommence. Generic Propecia is a low-dose form of Proscar, a drug that is prescribed for prostate enlargement.
How does Propecia work?
Generic Propecia is not known to bring back hair in the frontal areas. Reasons are unknown but Generic Propecia, along with Rogaine, by and large only work in re-growing thinning hair in the crown area of the scalp. Only hair transplant surgery is known to be successful in restoring hair in the frontal hairline once lost.
Generic Propecia is less effective in growing hair in older men. The drug works best for those men who have a balding history that is less than five years. Generic Propecia works by slowing down the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by lessening the DHT present in the scalp. As such the thinning process is unhurried and some times even reversed. Store generic Propecia at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C in a tightly closed container, where it is protected from moisture for it to remain effective.
